ADULTS
If you would like to participate in any of these connection opportunities, contact the church and we will put you in touch with the appropriate person.
Sunday School
Adult Education Opportunities: We currently offer two adult Sunday school classes, both studying the book Sailboat Church by Joan Gray as part of “Project Regeneration,” our congregation-wide process of institutional discernment and spiritual renewal, guided by the Presbyterian Foundation. The Fellowship Hall class meets beginning at 9:30 and the Library class meets at 9:15.
Taize Worship Service
Each Monday, a group gathers via Zoom for a Taize worship service. A Taizé worship service involves sung and chanted prayers, meditation, a period of silence, and liturgical readings. A digital file with song lyrics and YouTube playlists can be made available to you if you wish to participate.
Thirsty Thursday
Thirsty Thursday is a small group for parents. The group meets every other week on Thursday at 8:00 p.m. via Zoom. A “leader” is chosen for the week and participants discuss everything from their own spiritual journeys to the challenges and joys of parenting.
Leaving a Legacy
The Leaving A Legacy small group provides connection and inspiration to many of our senior members. Typically meeting in the home of its founder, the gathering includes dinner, discussion, and support.
The LPC Book Club
This group enjoys reading and meeting over a meal to discuss novels every 4-6 weeks based on the group’s availability. The book club is made up of church members and friends who share in the book selection at each gathering. While the reading material is not religious, Biblical themes are discussed.
The Church Ladies
This social group gathers for fun, fellowship, and mutual support. They play cards, go to dinner, and participate in a Prayer Chain.
